Developing Your Fundraising Strategy
This session will allow attendees to begin to develop fundraising strategies for their museum. We will be running two identical sessions (please only book onto one session).
Through a mixture of practical exercises and case studies, attendees will consider what is a fundraising strategy; why do you need one and why now; how to create a fundraising strategy that works for your organisation and how to address possible barriers to implementation.
The day will also touch on potential ethical issues and regulation frameworks that attendees will need to be aware of when implementing fundraising strategy.
This course is designed as a follow up for attendees of our Introduction to Fundraising Strategies sessions hosted in January 2019. Prospective attendees who have a foundation of knowledge of the different types of fundraising and know how to create a case for support, but didn’t attend the introductory session, are also welcome to attend.

Making the Creative Case for Diversity
Is your museum looking to create more dynamic collections; broaden your public engagement or develop your audiences? Are you interested in embracing a wide range of influences and or practices to help you achieve this? If so this session on the Creative Case for Diversity is for you!
Featuring a range of speakers from the south west and beyond this session will cover: what the Creative Case for Diversity means; how to build meaningful partnerships with communities; diversify your programming and how to reach new audiences. It will also consider the internal and external barriers you may face and how you can approach these, as well as how to evaluate the impact of your work so you can keep moving forward.
