This month. we have launched our much anticipated Museum Skills Autumn Programme, which covers a wide range of specialist areas. The sessions include Culture24 led workshops on assessing your digital capacity and digital storytelling, as well as rethinking cataloguing and working with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to name a few.  Some sessions are already fully booked, but keep reading to find out more about what is on offer.

In addition, we’re celebrating all the successful museums who have been awarded our small grants for change and improvement. Our grants were designed to support projects that fall under one of the following themes: organisational resilience; collections development; increasing inclusion and tackling inequality; and environmental responsibility. In our newsletter you can find out exactly how some museums will be using their grants.

We are also thrilled to introduce a new member of the South West Museum Development team. Fay Whitfield joins as our new Communications & Events Officer, while we say goodbye to George Meredith who has left to pursue adventure overseas . Welcome Fay!

Finally, we have our usual round-up of news, specialist support and grant opportunities, including the next instalment of our brand-new regular green newsletter feature: Green Action.
