Bursaries for South West Museums
South West Museum Development is pleased to offer three £75 bursaries to support staff or volunteer delegates from museums in the South West, who have not previously attended a GEM national conference. Please that staff or volunteers based at a museum in receipt of National Portfolio funding are not eligible to apply.
The bursaries can be used to support attendance either for one day or for the full conference (GEM will cover x1 day of conference attendance; additional days attendance would need to be self-funded). SWMD welcomes applications for these bursaries from either staff or volunteers involved in developing partnerships and programmes with under-represented audiences, who are looking to develop their practice in community engagement or volunteer involvement.
Bursary recipients will be asked to produce a short write up of the day they attend for the South West Museum Development Blog, GEM Journal and website.
