We are delighted to announce that on Thursday 4th April 2019 museums within the accreditation scheme in the south west will have the opportunity to meet the South West Museum Development team and learn how we can support you in all aspects of running a museum. You will also have the opportunity to meet the Accreditation Manager for Arts Council England and the Outreach Officer for Collections Trust to pose your questions on the newly refreshed Accreditation Standard and Spectrum 5.
What you can expect
The day will provide you with an overview of the South West Museum Development Programme and how we can support you; an update from Arts Council on the refreshed scheme and a panel discussion on all matters Accreditation; plus the opportunity to participate in workshops on Organisational Health, Managing Collections and Users and their Experiences. The workshops will cover revisions to the new standard, practical exercises, top tips and how South West Museum Development can support you in all three areas of the standard.
Who is this event for?
This event is for staff and volunteers working at museums within Arts Council’s accreditation Scheme in the south west. This means museums holding either a Full Accreditation award, those with a Provisional award and those Formally Working Towards Accreditation. We also welcome museums thinking of submitting their Eligibility Questionnaire to the scheme and Accreditation Mentors.
This event will be held on Thursday 4th April 2019, 10am – 4.30pm at Exeter Community Centre in Exeter.
