Last minute places are available on our upcoming SW Museum Skills training sessions. Grab yourself one of the few remaining places! Training sessions include Charity Finance, Security in the Museum and Working With Artists.

Upcoming training sessions open for booking:

Charity Finance for Trustees

12th March 2019, Royal West of England Academy, Bristol
This session will help delegates understand the framework of regulatory requirements for reporting as a charity. It will explore the sources of charitable income and impact on cash flow and planning. Delegates will also gain an understanding of the role of the board and trustee responsibilities.

Security in the Museum

13th March 2019, Exeter Community Centre, Exeter
This session will provide delegates with knowledge and practical security solutions in the context of a museum. Attendees will gain an understanding of a ‘layered response to security’ and the importance of Intelligence. The afternoon session will look at the practicalities of a security audit and there will be a Q&A.

Working With Artists: What You Need to Know

14th March 2019, RAMM Offices, Exeter
This session will provide inspiration and practical advice for developing projects with artists. Drawing on the learning from Muse: Makers in Museums, the session will explore the many benefits of working with artists and how to do this successfully. Delegates will also hear case studies from artists and museums and look at how to devise and plan a project.
