Travelling Together, our new project to support the development of diversity and inclusion practice in museums, is taking off this month with our Steering Group now on board. Our diverse and experienced Steering Group will advise, provide challenge and bring new perspectives to longstanding museum sector barriers and challenges, particularly those experienced by protected characteristics groups. In this issue of our newsletter you can find out more about the Steering Group and meet some of the members.
The July newsletter is also a reminder that you only have until Monday 17 July to put yourself forward as a Travelling Together Champion. If Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is something you feel passionate about, or if EDI is something you would like to gain more experience in for your career, then this role is perfect for you. We’ll share further details with all those who express interest, recruiting our six Champions ready to step into their roles by the end of September!
