We are excited to announce a brand-new, one-off grant programme for 2023, On Display! These grants will support the conservation of individual objects or small groups of objects, specifically to enable museums to display them and engage audiences in their stories. The grants are applicable to both objects which have previously been on display and haven’t been displayed before, because they require a special display mount or conservation work. As part of the grant, the object(s) will be on display by December 2024 and be supported by either current or new interpretation or activities to engage audiences. In addition to the grant money, the grant provides a half day of tailored advice from the South West Museum Development Conservation Development Officer to provide further support.
A maximum of six museums will receive the grants of up to £1000 (minimum grant £750). Applications open on Monday 23 January 2023 and close at 12 noon, on Monday 27 February 2023.
