On Display! Grants tell the Stories of the South West
Our On Display! grant programme is coming to a close, so we are sharing some of the amazing projects which have been funded by these grants.
Do you have a particular object you would love to display?
Do you have a group of objects in your store that would inspire a new audience?
Do you need conservation support to be able to display them?
Many museums have objects they would love to have on display but are unable to do so due to their condition or a lack of suitable display options.
On Display! supports the conservation of individual objects or small groups of objects specifically to enable museums to display them and engage audiences in their stories. You may want to treat an object currently in storage, or an item which is new to your museum. It must require a special display mount or conservation work before it can be put on display. As part of the grant, the object or objects must be on display by December 2024 and be supported by either current or new interpretation or activities to engage audiences. In addition to the grant you will be entitled to half a day of tailored advice from our Conservation Development Officer to provide further support.
